A non governmental organization known as The Jeffrey Kuraun Foundation, has called on the Nigerian Army to extend (intensify) its Operations “Ayem A Kpatema”(Cat Race) and “Positive Indentification” to Gboko and Makurdi Local governments of Benue State.

The Non-Governmental Organisation, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and involved with human capacity development and charity in a statement signed by its Founder/(Member Board of Trustees Dr. Jeffrey Kuraun, lamented the bloody and incessant cult attacks and counter-attacks, leaving so many people dead, especially very young men in Gboko town.

He said investigations by the foundation revealed, that the Police and other security agencies in Benue were making efforts to stem the tide of killings, the Federal Government should intervene and assist through the Army, to stop the daily bloodletting and wanton destruction of properties by these menacing cult groups in the State.

The foundation condemned in very strong terms the desecration of cherished values of residents of Benue.

The foundation pleaded with the Federal government to intervene as soon as possible to save lives and property in the affected areas.
