How come? I hear many people call themselves On Air Personalities even without knowing what it means!
For some, appearing or guesting on a programme earns them the title of OAP, others for the mere fact that they string content together on radio, they assign the title to themselves and it has spread like wildfire and has suddenly become a name to show class and status!
What does “Personality” mean?
personality /pəːsəˈnalɪti/ noun
1. the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual’s distinctive character.
Similar: character, nature, disposition, temperament, make-up, persona, psyche, quality and identity
2. a celebrity or famous person.
So which of these are you? What are those qualities that form your “Distinctive Character” on air? What is so special about what you bring to the table each day on the job, whether as a Presenter or an Analyst?
Why should people listen to you when you talk? How do you pass your message across to reach your target audience?
What efforts do you put into creating content for your programmes on air?
Being a Personality “On Air” comes with creating a perfect blend of all the qualities mentioned above – to generate GOOD CONTENT which is key to carving a niche and creating a brand for yourself!
I will be talking about this at the Medialogue in Awka on Tuesday Feb. 11, 2020.
Try not to miss out on this conversation!
