Ahead of the planned integration of the OCI Foundation’s “Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Health Campaign” with regular activities of Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), a high-profile meeting was held today (Monday, January the 20th, 2020) at the National Headquarters of the NYSC in Abuja, Nigeria.

The OCI Foundation’s team was led by Mr Sam Agwa (Head of Advocacy), while the NYSC was led by its Director of Community Development Services, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Salawu. Also in attendance on behalf of the NYSC were 3 of its assistant directors, including Mr Sunday Onyike, Mr Musa Dan-Asabe, and Mr John Guli.

The “ArOY Campaign” is a Harvard-endorsed, evidence-based health promotion initiative of the OCI Foundation that aims to integrate anti-breast and cervical cancer teachings into the curriculum of Nigerian senior secondary (high) schools using a cost-effective, all-encompassing, sustainable and culturally acceptable strategy.
