There was shouts of Joy at The Tivid Orphanage Home when the senator representing Benue south senatorial zone of Benue State at the National Assembly, Senator Abba Moro visited the Home to celebrate Nigeria’s 59 Independence Day with the orphans.

Receiving the Senator at the home, a partner and spiritual counselor of the home, Pastor Dave Ogbole was thankful to the senator for the visit.

Pastor Ogbole while taking the Senator through the life of the facility stated that , Tivid orphanage actually means TIV and Idoma as the idea was birthed to provide a home and a second chance at life for orphans and vulnerable children in Benue state.

He further stated that, one child from the home is currently studying in Nigeria Defense Academy NDA and five others are in Maritime Academy in Ebonyi state.

Pastor Ogbole said most of the children in the home are those from crisis affected areas of Benue state with most of them having horrible experiences of the Fulani Herdsmen crisis.

Speaking, the founder of the Home Miss Favour Enewa Ada-Paul thanked the Senator and his entourage for the visit, she however mentioned a major challenge of the orphanage which is acomodation. She said the landlord is threatening to throw them out of the home if she cant raise 15 million naira to buy off the facility by the end of December 2019.

Responding, Senator Abba Moro appreciated the good work miss Ada Paul and Pastor Dave Ogbole are doing by giving the children a home and a hope saying he also is an orphan but God has provided him a home otherwise he would have been here with them.

The senator further said ” i have until December to get you an alternative accommodation or i will provide 15 million naira to buy this home for you” the senator said the home should from now on count him as a friend to depend on in times of need.

Senator Abba Moro adopted little Miss Precious Ngbede and master Simon Idakwo as his children. The senator Donated Food stuffs of assorted kinds as well as Cash to aid the Home for the time being.

High point of the visit was the presentation of Songs, Prayers and cutting of the 59 anniversary cake.
